The Different Options GingerVideo Offer For Paid Video Advertising.

Paid Video Advertising can be a huge minefield of confusion if you don’t know all the details before incorporating it into your marketing strategy.

So, to help you decide whether this is the road you want to go down, we thought that outlining the options for Video on each platform could give you an idea of what’s possible! For each platform we will give a brief explanation of what the ads are, then outline the video options for that ad.

Google Ads

Display ads are ads on websites, apps or social media that are made up of banners or other ad formats like text, images, flash, video, & audio. The main purpose of display advertising is to deliver general advertisements and brand messages to site visitors.

Search ads on the other hand are more commonly known as pay-per-click, are an easy, low-budget way to reach the right audience. They are shown directly on search engine websites after a keyword or phrase has been searched.

Search ads and Display ads can be as long as you would like them to be because they will be put on a bespoke landing page, however we don’t recommend them to be longer than 120 seconds long.

Facebook Ads

These ads can appear in your audiences’ news feed on desktop, mobile and in the right hand column of Facebook on their desktop.

You are permitted up to 31 seconds for this sort of ad, however it is recommended that they stay within 5-15 seconds.

You can also use placement ads on Facebook, which are ads that appear in stories and on Facebook messenger. These ads can be 15-20 seconds long. 

LinkedIn Ads

LinkedIn ads are perfect for B2B advertising. Audience members that might scroll past your ad on Facebook might stop, read and engage with your ad on LinkedIn because they are in a business mind-set.

These ads can be between 3 seconds and 30 minutes, however the most successful ads are around 15 seconds long.

Instagram Ads

There are 2 kinds of ads on Instagram. The first are ads that appear on your audiences’ feed/timeline. These ads can be between 1-60 seconds long.

The second are ads that appear within the stories of your target market; they can be between 1-15 seconds long.

YouTube Ads

We specialise in 3 types of Video ads on YouTube:

The first is True View In-Stream ads. These are the ones at the beginning of a video and can last up to 30 seconds long. However, the viewer can skip the ad after 5 seconds.

 The Second is True view Discovery ads. These are an image with 3 lines of text that appear to the right side of videos above the recommended videos.

The Third is Bumper ads. These are non skip-able 6-second ads that can be played before, during or after a video.
